The Europa 97 Mission PatchIn 1997, five intrepid astronauts flew to Europa, a moon of Jupiter with liquid water underneath its thick blanket of ice.

Astronauts Marlene Keeley, Katie Blakley, Nicholas Chop, Andria Green, and Terri Oda made their way to Europa and conducted many experiments while they were there. Their research proved invaluable for later missions to the mysterious moon.Europa as seen by Voyager
